service manual file or link?

Hi Everyone.

First time Jeep owner here.

Buying a high mileage Jeep as a third vehicle (a summer toy and winter get around vehicle) which will become my son's first car in about a year.

It's a 2002, bone stock, base model, 4 banger, manual tranny. I think it's important for him to learn to drive on a manual transmisison and we'll work together on any repairs so he can learn some mechanics. A dad and son kinda thing...

I'd like to know if anyone has a .pdf file of the 2002 service manual willing to share? Just trying to save some $$.

I plan on doing the "normal" used car maint. stuff such as changing ALL the fluids, etc... with him.

Thanks!!!

I've been reading all the good info. on this site so thanks to all for sharing.

Just a quick update...

We've been hard at work on her!!

We replaced all the brake lines
new rotors
rebuilt the front brake calipers, bead blasted and painted yellow
new brake pads
cut rear brake drums, bead blasted and painted yellow
new brake shoes and hardware
rebuilt the rear brake cylinders
changed all fluids
bead blasted and painted the differential covers yellow
new stainless exhaust and tail pipe
rubbed out all the paint and did a full wax job
repainted the center dash area black
painted the three a/c knobs yellow
new rims and 245/75 R16 MTR's

Still a few more things to do but she is safe and driveable now.

We are taking her to the Jeep show at the York Fairgrounds this Saturday, 7/16

I was reading a previous thread about Jeep service manuals. Your name came up several times regarding service manuals. The post said if I sent you a PM, I might be able to talk you into providing me a copy of the 2002 Wrangler Service manual. How hard do I have to talk to get a copy????
BTW, I am proud owner of 2 Jeeps now, not by choice, but that's how it goes...
Thanks for any help you can provide, Regards, Jim
