I changed my plugs and wires this evening. I went with factory replacement wires, and champion platnium tipped plugs for the 97 4 banger. Put everything in, started it up, ran great. Shut it off, did a few other things, hopped in dropped it in drive and off I went, then she got pissy. It felt like she was misfiring bad. Got out on the highway, couldnt get up over 45-50. Came back, and pulled the plugs, and threw the old ones back in, after that she ran fine. So the moral of the story i guess is that the 2.5 4cyl does NOT like single plat. tipped plugs.
I also noticed that either a sensor came unplugged, or i found a plug that goes to nothing. For the life of me i couldnt find where it went. The jeep was also throwing a check engine light. Ill take a picture when its light out again and see if you guys can help with the sensor. Then off to advance auto parts to get the code read (if its not the sensor), and for some new copper plugs.
