Shifter Knob

Hey fellows, I have a 2004 5 spd stock shifter knob that seems to have a rattle coming from inside of it even though it seems tight. How do I get the knob off? Thanks in advance George

Remove the top piece that has the shift pattern on it...small flathead screwdriver works..then you'll see a nut to remove the ball

That nut inside the shift knob is just a locknut, it only needs to be loosened or tightened, not removed.
When you have a choice, buy American.
