Shifting Trouble after 4" sus lift.

I had a friend help me lift my 04 with a 4" superlift. We didn't bend the 3 degrees into the shifter(didn't have the manual to follow for pulling it apart). I now am having to hold the shifter in 2nd and 4th and reverse grinds. HELP!!! is there a way to do this without the manual.

i'm guessing you had to drop the tranny...

When i installed my 2" body lift i had similar problem since 2" body lift is like dropping the tranny 1.5-1.75"s (not exactly 2 because of the angle but anyways..)

I'm guessing yours just feels like its hitting the console and the rubber booth gets too tight so it nearly pops out and you gotta hold it.. To see if it fixes it i'd remove the stock booth and the thing under it. (you will see it once you remove the booth). Grab on the booth of the shifter and pull it up (green). Then stick a screw driver (light blue) or a knife or something sharp between the rubber booth and the console (red) Then give it a little pry (dark blue color) and it should pop out. Once it does just move the booth and the rubber hose looking thing under it up and then try to shift and see if it binds and if is better.

Hope that works for you. Let me know whatever happens. BTW If it does you just have to unscrew the shifter knob and pull it right out. On mine i don't have a shifter booth right now.
