Shock boots

Thinking about either removing my shock boots or changing the color. I have bilstein 5100 and the boots are black right now. But not a big fan of boots. Any input on whether removing them will cause damage in the mud/snow/water /dirt

Boots trap dirt, hold moisture and imo look bad.

Youd be much better off without them.

I have them but don't really need them. If one rips off go all the other ones.

They do serve a purpose - just replaced some blistiens with 65k miles on them, and the area inside the boot was pristine - no dirt, no dust, no wear.

Replacement shocks went on w/o boots for the sake of experimentation, so we'll see how long they stay good and clean.
