Shocks

Will shocks smooth out the ride on my 2000 jeep wrangler

If you have none on right now, then yes they would certainly smooth out your ride.

Not trying to be a douche but the JK has solid axles and it rides like a car compared to our TJ's

The rubber of my super-soft snow/ice tires ride like a dream compared to my half-worn M/Ts. Shocks help too, obviously, but tire size/pressure/rubber compound can make a huge difference.
