SHOCKS!!! are these worth the money!?

Performance Series Shock Kit by King Shocks:
King Shocks Part 25001-282 - Performance Series Shock Kit by King Shocks

Are those shocks really worth 1,500$!? I am gonna need some new shocks soon but same with tiers and i just put a new T-case in sooo I'm trying to spread out the spending if you know what I mean...

also how would the above shock compare to the Rancho RS9000XL Series Rancho RS999062 - Rancho RS9000XL Series Rear Shock Absorber for 97-06 Jeep® Wrangler TJ & Wrangler Unlimited with 5-6" Lift - Quadratec

anyone have any comments or any other shocks they might recommend??

I do mostly mud and snow off roading with a lot of hills and trails that kinda of thing, not so much rocks.

thanks!!

depends on your application...king's are built for off road racing and they can be rebuilt or recharged. it cost an arm, a leg and a kidney.

I have never owned King shocks, and I would consider them if you get shock fade with what you have now, if you don't get shock fade I wouldn't bother, $1,500. is a lot of money, but if you have a lot of money why not, then it would give you the option of driving off road faster without getting shock fade.

King shocks were designed and built for off-road racing. They are an excellent shock but for a Jeep that won't see high speeds or be hitting large jumps and major washboards off-road they are overkill for the Jeep and your wallet. There are plenty of other moderately priced shocks that do the job just fine.

unless your building a full on trail beast, you will never use them to the full potential

King shocks are bad ass, but I wouldn't spend the money on them unless you are going for coil overs. Someday I'll have some 14" King COs.

I don't have experience with king shocks, I once considered them for an F150 SAS to F350 build I did, but I ended up running Fox racing shocks... I can't speak on the King shocks, but the Fox racing remote resivour shocksI ended up gong with were flat out awesome!!!!
