""Pretty sure they did though since I damaged a guard rail.""

Pretty sure they got all your info with damage to state property. Fine line about the reporting stuff in different states. Here in DE it is considered mandatory reportable if the air bag deploys. I am sure there are other reasons and laws/bylaws.... I am no expert but hit a state policeman last yr and he was all about letting it go and wanted to leave but then a local PD pulled up, sayw the air bag in my car and it was reported.
Anyway, glad you are OK and good luck with the project. I will follow this.

I got the front shocks on.
Might be picking up a set of 35" km2s on m/t simulated beadlock rims as well

Got the front tires mounted and painted the beadlock ring yellow.

Got the 8.8 in as well. Trying to figure out the brake lines, got old 8.8 brake lines but the line with the distribution block doesn't reach the hard line on the frame, so that's one thing I have to figure out. I'm at a stand still right now since my damn jack broke and I just got laid off so for the time being I have no money to go buy a new jack.

She's sittin under her own weight. All I need now is the flange adapter, figure out the brake lines, put the brakes back on the front, new sway bar end links for the front, put the sway bar back on the rear, and put fluids in it and it'll be driveable.

If I had more money there would be a lot more upgrades, but I'm doing this on a budget.
So far I've got into it:
Front axle/control arms, trac bar: $20
tierod and drag link: $40
T-case:$35
8.8 and artec truss kit:$0(I had bought this stuff almost a year ago so I won't add the price of that to this)
8.8 rotors and pads:$0(had prior as well)
ZJ proportioning valve: $0
Shock bolts:$4
Rims and tires:$900
-------------------------------
That puts me in it for $999

But, I did sell some parts, so,
Old t-case guts:$60
d35:$50
broken and unusable metal scrapped(control arms, d30, t-case housing): $26
--------------------------------------------------------------------
That $136 back to me, so that puts me out of pocket $863.
I say that's pretty good.

Did you have adjustable rear arms previously, or just set your pinion angle using the brackets? I thought I saw all stock arms.

Yes, I previously had adjustable rear arm. But I did set the pinion angle using the brackets. I set it a degree or two lower than what I think it should have been so I have some play room to adjust it perfectly.

Just a little update. Jeep is close to ready to go. Just need rear brake lines, flange adapter for the 8.8, put the calipers and rotors back on the front, need new caliper bolts since two of the old ones got bent some how, some retainer clips for the rear calipers, and fill it with fluids and it will be good to go. I need sway links for the front as well but I can probably do without for a little bit, just take it slow around turns. The lack of employment has made the progress come to a screeching halt. Hopefully soon I will be gainfully employed again and get this baby back on the street!

Good to hear man. I'm excited to see how it drives when you get it all back together.

Good work! Alot of knowledge gained by ripping it apart. I guess you dont have a salvage title, another benefit for not reporting.

Thanks guys.
Finally got a job a few weeks ago with good pay and long hours so the money is flowing in finally! Ordered all the parts I need to finish fixing it and the last of the parts should be showing up Friday. If I'm lucky I'll get a day off this weekend and get to fix it and get it driving.

Good news everybody! Jeep runs, drives, and stops all on its own now! Last week I ran the rear brake lines, put on the new long travel rear brake line from RK, put on the new JKS discos to replace the bent/broken ones, put in new axle tube seals on the 8.8(after putting gear oil in and finding out it didn't have any due to my lack of attention to detail. Lol) filled up front and rear diffs and tcase, and bled the brakes. Need the bleed the brakes again since it had 0 fluid in the system to I pretty much just purged them, still have a soft pedal, and right now the rear driveshaft is at the shop being shortened and fully rebuilt. Going to have pretty much a brand new shaft when it gets back. Bolt that sucker in and bleed the brakes one more time, take it in for an alignment and it should be road ready!

Next on the agenda....body work. OH JOY!! Lol

15x10 Mickey Thompson classic locks and 35x12.50x15 BFG KM2s. They were used but have about 80% tread.

Purchased the currie currectlynk steering and some used RE front control arms to match the rear. Adjustable uppers and fixed lowers. Needed the currie to be able to align the front enough to get it to the alignment shop. Pass side TRE clamp had stripped and seized bolts and the drivers side TRE was seized in the tie rod. Front of the front tires was pointed in 1.25" more than the rear of the front tires and the tie rod ends were worn to hell thus causing insane death wobble. The currie should fix that.

Got the currie steering on with a half gimp right arm and somewhat aligned. Hopefully it goes to the alignment shop tomorrow to get it aligned and the brakes bled better than i can get it done. After that it will be back on the road!

Got it aligned, bought a vacuum bleeder and bled the brakes. Drives straight and stops great. Still get Dw when i hit a big bump going over 45, ordered new synergy ball joints since ball joints are on their way out anyways. May order a IRO double sheer track bar next week. After that there should be no dw. Driving it to work tomorrow though! Just gonna avoid bumps and holes in the road.

This is completely off topic, but what car cover do you use to cover your Jeep ? I'm overseas twice a year for 4months, and my cover barely fits. Although in its defense, I do have an LJ. Do you know what brand/model number it is ?
