I found this tj and i am about to pull the trigger and buy it, i got him to come down a grand. I am going to look at it later this evening. What kind of things should i be looking for when i go to check it out before i hand this guy a bumch of money? I plan on doing different axles and tranny & motor in the future when this one dumps, so the 2.5 doesnt bother me, i just think this will be a good jeep to start with. Ive wanted a jeep ever since i can remember and this one looks like my opportunity to join in on the fun.

Year how many miles? Check out the frame, a little rust is okay but be very careful if there's any rot! Electrical on my tj was a little tricky as well, check fuses to make sure they aren't blown.

Rust and rot are the biggest thing that I know of to check for at least.

more detailed information will be helpful. How did you get the guy to go down a grand? Look under the carpet between the tub and carpet, not that this is a huge deal but when i did that with mine a found about 4000 dead stinkbugs ( i exaggerate but they covered the whole tub)

Which rear axle does it have d35 or d44

Im.not sure what rear axle it has I was wondering the same when I researched the locker it has in the rear. Is this a selectable locker or the kind that engages when it starts to spin

Pretty sure that a lock right is an automatic locker meaning it is locked whenever power is applied to it

Very nice looking Jeep and LOVE the color! The owner has done some very nice mods and the price is its $1000 less seems pretty good! Feel INSIDE the frame, there are holes along the sides feel for rust! I had a previous TJ that was 100% perfect everywhere, the outside of the frame was 100% factory perfect however it was scaled rust inside. Above all let us know if you get it and post up some better pictures!
