This is MY personal opinion. I wouldn't get an automatic jeep.....again that's me. I would def stick with the 4.0. And just like all others said.......its over priced....way over priced.

overpriced.

They make it look really clean, thinking they can fool some starters and ask for several grant for their cleaning job. With 140k miles on the engine, how clean they engine can be? Besides, the rim looks trashy..

7k, I'll provably think about it..

from what i understand about this dealership the price is the price maybe 500 bucks wiggle room.

What is everyone thinking a fair price would be?

I bought my 99 2 years ago from a private party in as good of condition with 115,000 miles for $5700. They were asking $6300. But most around the same year were running in the $7000. range.

go to ABQ craigslist, look for owners ad only, you'll get an idea how overpriced that deal is.

is there some reason for you to stick with dealers? there are always good private deals out there, if you keep looking..

I have a 5spd and I would ABSOLUTELY get an automatic given the chance. Eventually, I'd like to convert mine over to an auto. They are much better for rock crawling. I have too much of a sentimental attachment to mine to trade since I've had it for 13+ years.

Expand your search. It'll be worth it to take a road trip to find the right priced Jeep. One you have one you'll understand.

Best of luck.

Here is a 2004 Rubicon with less miles for less money. You need to keep looking of get that one for several thousand less. It appears on the surface as a really nice Jeep, just no way it's worth the $.

but then again, when you seel someone selling a 2004 rubi is only 9k, it makes me feel dubious about some ads.. I thought it's gonna worth at least 12-13k ...
