I like the look of the black grill. I have had it for bedlined for a few years now and it really ties in all the other stuff on my jeep. My buddy(silver tj) liked it so much he did the same thing to his.

You just peel it off. Had my grill done for almost a month. Several trips through the woods and washes no problem

Mine is pladtidip, been on for about 5 months I think. At lest three trail rides, fair amount of time on the highway and a dozen our so high pressure washes. It's tough, it even holds onto the smooth glass surface of my headlights.

The trick to make it hold, Clean the surface to remove any oils our dust, do two to three very light coats, them two heavy coats.

If I use the rustoleum bed liner do I have to prime the grill first, or just spray right over the silver paint?

I rustoleum rattle canned mine last summer and it's not budged since. I had plastidip on it for a year first and I was able to pressure wash it to get mud off no problem,so I knew the bed liner would just be worries free when it comes to getting nicked and such. As for blackness, it has stayed a much truer black than the plastidip did over time.

That is the method that I am going to try and do after school today. Wish me luck.

I am in the process of de rusting and painting my jeep Rattle Can Matte black.

this is to keep the weather off it until I make my mind up.

I was thinking about plasti dip after im complete?

I just read plasti dip only took one can?- The name is quite deceiving, What is plasti dip? a spray can?
Where can I buy it? and is it expensive?

You want to put plasti dip on thick....the more layers and thicker it is, the easier it peels off.... if you get a light coat, its actually much harder and requires scrubbing
