That sPOD system is very slick looking. However, I wish they sold just the aluminum switch bezel for people that don't want or need all of the extra (an in my opinion, overpriced) other stuff. Even if they sold just the bezel and switches for 150 bucks, that means you are paying 300 dollars for a box with 6 relays and 6 fuses in it. Cha-ching! But at least they laid a couple of calipers on the table for you in the video (kind of corny imo) just so you get that warm fuzzy feeling and know all of their tolerances are ship-shape

Holy switches!!!

Can I be your co-pilot sometime and you can bark random nonsensical orders at me like "energize the port side electro differential synchronizers!!" And then i'll look at the switches with a furrowed brow and concerned look, and carefully select the proper combination of toggles to manipulate. It would be a good ol' time I would probably make rocket noises on occasion while clicking them on and off, if thats ok with you.

you would have to have an Irish accent and be called O'Malley. So then when the Pilot said "energize the OBA , and start number 2 locker" you can answer in a cool, calm voice " Ay captain, activating noomber une looker"

Add OTRATTW's double lighted switches and you are now up to 25 wires!
Your first setup can be done with 8 wires, a common power thats ganged to all 6 switches, a common ground, and your 6 control wires. I've heard of people using cat5 network cable for this because it has 8 wires in it, and all you should be doing with it is tripping relays. the second setup with double lighted switches, 9 wires... all you would need is a second power wire going up that is hot when your lights are on.

I don't have any pictures right now, but I have 8 switches where the ash tray would go. 1 master switch for all my lights, 5 individual switches for each set of lights, a switch for a set of strobe lights, and a 3 way switch for my radio so it will work with the ignition or directly off battery power.

I have one hot line coming in that splits to three switches and my cigarette lighter (i like not having to have the jeep on to charge stuff): the master, the strobes, and the always on radio (3 way switch can be one in and two outs or two in and one out...). The out on the master switch goes to the in on my 5 light switches. they are just chained together (so when all my lights are on I only have to hit one switch to turn them off instead of 5). Then the outs on each switch run to their respective relays. The second in for the 3 way switch for the radio is the original power wire. I cut the power wire and spliced the vehicle side into a short piece of wire to go down to the switch and a second wire comes back up and connects to the radio side of the power wire. I now have a choice of two power sources for the radio.

I guess I don't have a pic of it installed, but I run this in one of the factory holes.
Same as the Daystar switches, but with custom icons.

I'm not so sure that's all there is to it. The OEM Factory look to me is worth 150.00 easy. I hate the look of a bunch of toggle switches all across your main display. I think the sleek streamlined look is worth the extra bucks. I run a pretty high profile electrical system with a custom dual optima set up linked with a blue seas automatic relay all wired in with a static post and with a custom built alternator to charge it all. I have 24V off road lamps, on board air, cb radio, hid display headlamps, Bazooka tube, auto start, a winch and some 1.5 amp chargers. I use all of the switches, and the air gauge for my onboard air system. I think it is more than worth the money. To top it all off I got a huge discount for being in the Army.
