Side Steps, Nuts/Bolts/Screws

I received two oem side steps however the nuts and screws are not big enough. Does anyone know the size of the bolts needed to attach the side steps to the skid plate? This is a 97 wrangler.

The ones I put on my parents 97' se, bolt to the frame and it didn't have the nutserts in the frame so I bought the nutsert tool and had to figure out what size nutserts I needed and bolt size worked great.
