Silly radiator fluid level ?

When opening the cap, should you be able to see fluid above the all the internals? My reservoir is at the correct level, I just expected it to look higher in the radiator.

Maybe the hose that goes from the reservoir to the radiator neck doesn't have a good seal and it's sucking air instead of a vacuum

There is fluid in the rad....I can see it....I am just used to seeing it over all the internals. I will check the hoses though.

I think I will try adding a little water and se what happens. I don't have any of the correct coolant at home and would only need to add a little.
