I find them to pretty decent shocks for the price. OME shocks are also a good ride, but on a pricier side. I have also heard good things about the rubicon express and bilsteins

Love the skyjackers for the price. properly tuned for jeeps! would love to have bilsteins, but out of my price range.

Cool, I was wondering that myself. So the Skyjacker Hydros give a smooth ride, on and off road?

i just installed them last week. i should have done it when i first got my jeep. it rides so nice compared to my roughcountry shocks(known for roughness). i highly recommend them.

very smooth on road, i havent had them offroad yet besides a gravel road which wasnt that bad.
they also have a rebate going on buy for get one free type deal, ends soon though.

I like mine too, they are a lot more stiff than stock but they feel better.

I've got Hydros, and now that I've broken them in by taking them off-road, they feel great. They actually ride smoother than stock now.

I just built up an 06 LJ with the new Old Man Emu Nitro Sports and love them! They ride so much better than stock!! They are so nice that I almost forget that I'm in a Jeep. I have had several different brands of shocks on my 4 different wranglers and these are by far my favorite. I had the Skyjacker Hydro's on my last TJ and they were pretty rough IMO compare to the OME's. OME's are a good bit more expensive, but well worth the price to me...wish I would have installed them on my first TJ.

Not to hijack your thread, but I love my soft stock ride. I had Racho shocks before. Which brand are closest to stock?

Thanks for the info. from what I've read everyone says OME shocks are the best, but outa my price range. and I love the soft smooth ride with stock shocks. I just figured when I do the BBL, shocks should be changed also.

YES, some will say "oh you don't need too" but simply think about it. You take a shock designed to work at a certain height to compress and expand at 2'' of more hieght and travel. On the road,,sure the pot hole won't be to bad. Flex the suspension and you'll be limited by the shocks.

The Hydro's are fine bud. For cheaper prices on them check out Summitracing.com and Jegs.com for a little better price. Make sure to get the shocks for a 2'' lift and you'll be good to go.

Where did you get them? How much? And do they make them for a 2.25" spacer lift? And will the LJ's fit on TJ's..
