Same thing happened to me too. All you can do is buy replacement skins and hope for the best. Sorry about that.

Ive always been scared someone would do that to my Jeep...not scared for the Jeep, nor scared to replace them....just scared the judge would be in a bad mood while i was on trial for manslaughter

Did you have anything valuable in the jeep? Get anything stolen?

i dont undestand slashers, they can just unzip the damn thing from the outside and easily get in without any damage being done, they must be doing just for pure mischieve!

since it's ruined anyways you could try to glue it with silicon or maybe melt it a little and try to smooth it on top of itself? Experiment since it's ruined, you might like the fix over spending the money.

I bought the Tuffy box for under the drivers seat. Love It. Now I never lock my jeep!

Just got mine back from the body shop. $1000.00 to repair the art work someone did to the passenger door and back panel with their keys.

You can repair most split, cracks or cuts in the soft window with a vinyl swimming pool liner repair kit. These kits are about $10.00 from your local pool supply. You want the kit that has Cyclohexanol in the glue. Trash the vinyl patch its opaque. Order .020 thick clear PVC sheet from McMaster Carr Industial Supply about $3-5 dollars.
I repaired a 12 inch long split in my drivers side window by making 2 patches to apply to both sides of the cut. Just be sure to radius all the corners of the patched to prevent them from peeling up. I've used this technique for the rear window and drivers side window. I'll try to post photos this weekend. You can see the repair patch but it beats buying new windows.
I've not had any problems with the patches for the last 10 months.

After six years of having a soft top and enjoying it along the Texas coast, I switched to a hard top after my side rear windows were cut. The first time was to steal my tool box I left in the back. I patched them both up. I never could figure out why it happened the second time.

Assholes.

They're everywhere! When my drivers window was slashed, there was 6 other jeeps in the lot with theirs slashed too. Luckily they didn't slash the back windows, just the drivers side door window. I really wish I could get a hardtop and hard doors. Its my dream haha. So damn expensive though.

Last year the butt holes didn't just slash one window but found it necessary to slash all 3.

I had hard doors so I just had to buy the top. The top cost me approximately $2100 around 2.5 years ago. I was going to post a link to it but I can't even find it on the dealer's website anymore. I will have to go take a look at it or find my receipt to get the model. It was very expensive but I do love it. The only thing I would complain about is that once I hit 45 mph, the wind noise is horrible. I would say as bad or worse then my old soft top. I think the wind is forcing its way under the rubber seal above the windshield.
