Smaller Spare Tire Question

Iam going to go with black steelies and 32" tires, can I still use my 30" tire as a spare? I have it under a tire cover so it would not be seen. That way I figured I could just buy 4 tires and 4 rims. Is there a market anywhere for 4 30" tires on Canyon rims? Also, what width rim do I need with the steelies? Thanks again, Scooby

Negative.
Two inches is too much of a difference. I am sure you could sell your stock wheels and tires and cover the cost of the fifth tire and wheel.

As far as wheel width I would say go with 8 Inch, so get you some 15X8 steel wheels with 3.75 backspacing. I am guessing you will be going with 32X11.50 or even 32X12.50 either way and 8 inch wheel will be plenty big.

This is just my .02 worth.

Short answer: Yes.

But if you ever plan on doing some heavy wheeling, then go the 3" suspension lift.

2" difference will not be a problem as long as the axle you put it on does not have an auto locker in it. I've run with a 33 on one side and a 30 on the other on the front (which is open). Looks funny, but worked without any problems.

Also, tiny will torment you if she notices a smaller spare on your rig....

as long as you dont have an euto locker it is fine for on road use, however remember if you're off road you sed the bigger tire to get in to where you are so you may not be able to get out using the smaller tire, that said i have 35's and a 31 spare
