smittybilt replacement top

Anyone know anything about the replacement tops from smittybilt? I saw them in the 4wd catalog. $299 new fabric for top and windows. Seems like a nice deal. Didn't know if they were poor quality or not though. Couldn't find any reviews on them.

Personally I would never buy another smittybuilt product again. All made in china and basically all crap. I have the GEAR seat covers and there OK but not great quality. If it were me I would spend the extra money on a bestop but that's JMO.

Tops in general seem to come down to you get what you pay for. $299 is hella cheap.

I'm shopping tops now, and i've budgeted myself $500 ± $100 I gotta take into consideration i'll need half door skins as well.

Bestop or the Rampage bowless top if you are really strapped for cash.

I bought a Smittybilt top off Ebay and it is the crappiest top ever! I am on my second replacement and the stitching at the top frame bar is separating...again! I will definitely spend the money and get a Bestop Sail Cloth top next time. The Smittybilt doesn't fit good and it is loud as all get out. It sounds like I am riding on the outside of a 757. I hope this helps!

Cheap, thin, poorly made, noisy = Smittybilt's crappy tops (and their other junk) imported from China.

Alright. Thanks for all the input. I'm glad I didn't just order one and take my chances. So everyone thinks Best Top is the way to go then?

Bestop is a better top entirely. Get the sailcloth Replace-A-Top and you won't be disappointed.
