Snorkel

As you can all see it says Newbie next to my name, so please give this question a chance.
In the majority of pictures for Jeeps on here there seem to be no snorkels, is there any use for them or do most people just not need to cross rivers etc??

Cheers

I'm not interested in getting my Jeep so deep, it needs a snorkel. It hasn't even had swimming lessons.....Welcome, and have fun.

Extend the vent tubs before you do a snorkel. Not really needed unless you plan on driving into water good level. The factory air box is enough. I've ran just over the top of my bumpers with no issues

I think I could use one. Its cheap insurance. I have found water and mud in my airbox. I went through a hole that was deeper then I expected. haha

Ok, that all sounds pretty good, so it's a good idea if you can teach a jeep to swim, Time to get a compressor and some arm bands I think

I watched that video 5 times! That's awesome. I'd love to pull that much power but I don't want MPGs to drop to 5!
