From what i've heard the i6 and i4 intake setup are the same. So you can run a i6 snorkel on a i4. Someone please correct me if that is wrong because i am looking for one also.

This was a question in the newest Jrations. I could have sworn they said the set up was different for a 4 and a 6.

This is just what one of my buddies told me because i asked about one for the next trip i'm taking.

Remember just because you have a snorkel doesn't mean that you're waterproof a lot of extra work will be needed to make your rig completely waterproof. Waterproofing electrical is a must

I just wanted one cause I'm in need of a new intake and thought why not just get a snorkel and my initial reason to get a jeep was cause it floods in my neighborhood constantly

i've had the 4.0L and the 2.5L. the intake is in the same location and it is the same box. so, yes, the snorkel advertised for the 4.0L will work on the 2.5L.

I think someone put a link to a website that tells you how to waterproof the rest of the engine, only downside is, once you waterproof it, it's harder to work on the engine since everything is covered...

and how bad is that flooding? I'm still moving down there on Saturday..and flooding sounds like it maybe become a way of life for me down there. (not trying to hijack the thread...oh well, I might be doing that anyway I guess)

haha, ships and boats are one thing, watching my Jeep float down a river is a completely different matter; snorkel or not!

the intake tube from the airbox to the intake is different on the 4.0L vs the 2.5L, but the box itself (where there snorkel stuff attaches) is the same part.
