So I finally bought a Jeep!

Well so I've been searching for a Silver 05 RME X for awhile now, found a couple of them but things didn't work out or they were too far away. I really liked the RME in general, I think it's a great package for a first time Jeep, and the 05 because it has the color matched fenders. Then by chance I did a search on and found a silver X at a stealership here in Houston, just for grins I looked at the pictures and didn't think anything of it until they showed a picture of the passenger side and I noticed the RME sticker. They were not listing it as a RME, and there wasn't a good description at all so I couldn't verify anything based on my knowledge of that package. It also said on the page that they were losing their Dodge franchise and everything had to be liquidated. After jumping through a few hoops I ended up walking out of there with a great deal, well under blue book. So I took it to the mechanic before I bought it and the only mechanical "issue" is the AC blower thumps when you turn the AC on high. The guy told me that it could be anything, maybe it's going out, maybe something's stuck in there no telling. So that brings me here to the WranglerForum.

Anybody else had a similar issue with a blower going out? Is it a DIY? (I'm a Jeep noob, but I love DIY's)
The driver side AC vent is broken in the center console above the radio. Where's the best place to find one of those?
The windshield footman loop in the middle of the hood is missing (WTF?), Where's a good place to find one of those?
Lastly, the nuts on the door hinge pins are missing, anyone know the size so I can just go pick some of those up?

Other than those small things, and the Jeep sticker is missing on the drivers side, it's flawless for an 05!

Here's a couple of pictures that I took yesterday.

I have since, taken off the "milk jugs", and gone to 4WheelParts and ordered my husky liner mats and a lockable fuel door. I've also just picked up a Viper alarm with prox sensors and the whole 9, just for peace of mind... I know locks and alarms just keep honest people honest, but I have OCD

I think the reason why you're missing decals on the drivers side is because of possible body work done to it. The footman loop you can at any of the big Jeep catalogs like Quadratec, JCwitney, 4wd,etc... The nuts for your door, I wouldn't worry about them because your previous owner more than likely drove with the doors off. But if it really bugs you, you can get locking caps from the above mentioned catalogs and web sites. As for your A/C. Mine does the same and I have an 05' and no problems yet. Nice looking TJ and welcome to your new bankruptcy.

Point to ponder:
* If electrons come from electricity, does morality come from morons?
* If you have sex with a prostitute without her consent, is it considered shoplifting?

Yeah they told me that the drivers side had been keyed and they had that repainted, but I don't know the extent of the damage/fix. I've looked for any over spray, or drips or anything that would indicate a poor job and I can't find a thing other than the missing decals. I'll have to look for those footman loops on Quadratec, thanks for the advise!
