I did the same thing today. The soft top came off and the hard top is now on until Spring. It is definitely a sad day.

Tried to go buy the soft top I made a deal for a few months back but nobodies home. Hopefully I can have it on by tonight. Soft top is going in the trash. All the stitches are dry rotted. First it was the door channel flaps, then it was the zipper ends for the windows falling off, then it was the stitching that holds the zipper/Velcro for the windows. And as of last night the stitching for the back window zipper is pulling apart.

So I'm gonna throw that away. What should I do with the frame and hardware? I don't plan on getting another framed soft top.

Sell that stuff! People pay top dollar for the frame and hardware.

Check quadretec or 4wd for that stuff. Its expensive. Heck, someone would probably buy the messed up soft top too

Sometimes I regret selling my hardtop. I sold it, and used the cash to build an AR15.

Someday I'll buy another hardtop...

When I get back home from working out here in Idaho, hard top is going on mine too for the winter. Sad that another summer is over. But it was my first summer with a Jeep so pretty happy.

I used the Krylon on my hard top this year also....seems like it'll hold up pretty well

although I went from black to white to match the jeep..it took quite a few cans , guess I should have used a primer first

I like your led domelight lol. Harbor Freight? I have one stuck on my tailgate for a cargo light.

I was just washing my hardtop windows before reading this. It's still hanging in the garage where it has been for almost 3 years off my Jeep. Super dusty. Might put it on today just for the hellovit.
I hope it still fits right.

Did the swap today

First time in almost three years it has been on.
For anyone interested, even hanging from a hoist in the garage, the top did warp a little from lack of being on the Jeep. The sides bowed out a little. Nothing a little pressure couldn't fix.

Now the only problem I have is now I can hear little rattles that I need to find and fix. Oh well.

It was high 60's last Friday, now it's barely breaking the 50's during the day and they're already calling for snow.

And here I thought I might be able to make it to November this year
