So whats this

So blown head gasket. Took everything apart. Resurfaced head. Put back together. Started up. Smoke out of exhaust manifold. Neighbor mechanic said that was normal. It stopped smoking while he was looking at it. Little leakage out of thermostat but that's easy fix for me now. But while observing everything ruining I was like hummm what is this.

Talking bout the hose thing not the power steering resiorve. It plugs in here.

Which is located on the intake.

BTW this is my first engine repair ever. And it's a 98 jeep wrangler 2.5L 4cyl.
