Soft Top

I have an '04 Rubicon with a hardtop. Where's the cheapest place to get a new soft top for it. Should I get a bikini top or full? Any ideas?

Do you want complete protection or just shade and some shelter from rain? Check Jeep Wrangler Accessories such as Jeep tops, winches, fender flares from manufactures such as BesTop, Outland and Smittybilt for new, CL, ebay and the fs section here for used.

Since you don't have a frame why not go frameless and save some $$... I really like the look and will switch later this year.

You really need to decide what you want, the price is going to be MUCH different.
You can get a cheap-ish top for around $400-500 new (fastback bowless)
You can get Bikini tops for about $100.
As always, everything's cheaper on Craigslist. I see soft tops & bikini tops on there all the time. I picked up a nearly new Mopar Bikini top pretty cheap last fall.

Since you currently have the hardtop, you'll need some mounting hardware. How much depends on which top you go with.

Like Osprey, I'll be ditching my OEM soft top in favor of the Bestop Trektop NX this summer.

I just bot a frameless softtop I believe it will provide a good compromise for the best of all worlds. Easy to take off the sides and back to convert to a safari top yet easy to put back together, providing some small amount of protection when I need to be away from my jeep for a short period of time.

if you are patient and willing to hunt around, good deals can be found. last fall i picked up a new-in the box factory sunrider w/all hardware for 350. ad was 600 or best and after 2 weeks he figured my offer was the best. amazon also had deals going all the time. just be sure to get the one with the right hardware for your jeep/configuration.
