Ok guys I'm trading my soft top with everything for a hard top. Later I plan on buying the rampage frameless top but right now I'm having trouble with something. How do I remover the door surrounds and the brackets that the soft top frame attaches too that's right behind the driver and passenger seat? There's two on each side and I need to get them off.
The door surrounds have two knobs on top of the roll bar that you just twist off. I don't know about the B-pillar bows (attach right behind seats) mine have screws in them on in inside facing side.
What size torx bit will I need to remove bracket from roll bar located behind seats? I'm a jeep newbie and replacing top with bikini & rear cargo restraint. Mangalore any input.
I think it's a T-15. There are a lot of torx screws and bolts used on a TJ, you'd be best served to buy a set. I think I carry T-6 through T55 in my tools. You'll need a special security T50 (a bit with a hole in the center) if you ever want to remove the sport bar tube that run from the windshield frame to the sport bar.
