Soft-top folding champ?

Dropped the top today in our crazy oklahoma weather (75 with snow still left on the ground...) and realized, I'm kinda good at this...

Do you all fold yours up really neat or do I just have OCD?

I do but not this great. I'll try and get a pic a little later. You should make a YouTube video of this.

I was thinking of doing that when I have some extra time. When i first got my jeep i found one good tutorial with pictures on how to fold it correctly so the amount of videos out there are lacking... It would be nice to give some tips I've figured out over time like how to get the window zippers lined up easily and such...

Thats pretty damn good!! I get close, but I leave the last fold out because it was bending my little door surround things. Remember this is a LJ with more top! (and not the best I've done, just the quick method.)

That's impressive, I never paid any attention to how they are folded. I'll probably have to start doing mine like that now. I think I have a mild case of selective OCD at times .

Thanks for the comments. I'll try to make a video sometime bbut it might not be until next week or so... School's been taking up more free time than usual. We've been trying to catch up some after two weeks off school for snow...

If I make a vid of folding it down, I'll include putting it up and some tips too. It last snowed on wednesday last week and that was about six more inches to the 15 inches we had that was already plowed. We got back in school this monday and yes, oklahoma is pathetic when it comes to equipment for clearing snow. Also just that people here aren't as experienced of drivers in the snow could be a factor. In past years, we've had school canceled for one inch of snow overnight...

Wow THAT is impressive. Definitely put up a video because mine never looks that good. It got up to 70 here today and we still have snow on the ground too. After school I pulled all the windows out.

Ha, that's great man. Mine finally looked like that the last 2 times I put the top down after I realized that undoing the velcro on the top bar helps the folding process. Idk if that's right but it worked well and the top still looks good back up.

Haha basically I'm in your boat.

I'd love to see a video also. Maybe even some pictures of what the top looks like behind the seat, like fold down or remove the seat

JSY.... That looks great. BTW, what kind of bumper you got there. Like the looks with the hitch. Been looking for months now trying to decide on a new bumper.

The bumper is a smittybilt xrc.

I can probably get a picture of the inside with the seat folded and a few others after school today but I probably won't be able to make a video for while.

A couple things I do differently than most people is I push the small bar that comes down second to last (right before the header comes down) under the edge of the tub. It's a tight fit but if just fits nice and snug. To get it that flat you have to completely zip out the back window, not just rolled up. The two plastic pieces above the door point toward the center instead of straight back and I fold the back corners of the top up and over the roof instead of dropping them in to the cargo area.

This morning driving to school it was right at fifty with around 15 mph winds. With the top off of course... I just had a light jacket and it was chilly... Now it's around 75 out with wind. Just great weather...
