Soft Top Plastic "Runners" Missing!

Hello All!

I just purchased a 2000 Sahara about a month ago. This is my first Wrangler, and I'm still getting used to it. It came with both the soft top and hard top.

Considering the weather, I have only had the soft top on. When I purchased it, the previous owner pointed out that the stitching was coming loose on the top above the driver's side door where the 2 plastic pieces (I think they are called runners - based on what I've been reading so far?) attach to the jeep.

The way he mentioned it made it seem like they had been that way forever, and it wasn't a big deal. HOWEVER - after only a month - they have come completely unstitched! Sadly, they flew off while I was driving down the highway, and I have no way to get them back.

Does anyone know where I can get these two plastic pieces??? I absolutely cannot afford to purchase a new top - especially considering the rest of it is in pristine condition.

Thanks for any help you can give - I'm sorry if this has already been asked!

I don't think those are a separate item. You may have to find a beater top on CL or somewhere and take them off.. You can re stitch them yourself or take it to a boat shop or awning shop to get them sewn on... Check junkyards around you or you might try Daveyjeep.com

Thank You!

I called Davey's Jeeps and they had exactly what I needed! Fortunately, they are in Ohio and so am I so I should have the part by Tuesday.

Thanks again!
