Soft Top "pulling" on stitching...

My nine-month old black Bestop softtop is pulling at the seams. It's across the top over the middle bar. I adjusted the velcro around the bar, hoping to give some slack, but haven't seen any improvement.

Suggestions? Concerns? I bought it off Quadratec last year... not sure if there is any warranty for this or not.

I've also got a BestTop replacement top - however mine is from Feb 2007 - and yea the seams are pulling apart. I am not a seamstress so I found a product "E 6000" - - its a glue you can get @ Michaels for about 4 bucks a tube - - best glue I've ever found. It's flexable, waterproof, and will add years to your top seams.

Relax the top (take it down) and use a popcycle stick to spread the glue - allow several hours of dry time. go an inch or so past the actual split or pull on both ends.

for me - the seams that held the zipper on one of the quarter windows pulled apart - glued it and I'm back in business - good as new

Thanks, NC. I will check out the glue.

Anyone else have an idea?

Thank you! I called Bestop, who told me to call Quadratec. Quadratec is sending me a new top - basically he asked what was going on, I told him, and he said "OK." Didn't require any proof or much else.

New top should arrive within a week!

Do these say made in china or made in Mexico? I have a bestop top that has probably been on for 8 years and no seams are comming undone. Just wondering if thus may be the cause. I've noticed more and more people talking about the quality of these tops lately. Mine says "Made in the USA" on the tag of the rear passenger window.
