Soft Top replacement

i am looking for a new soft top and not sure if i should get the denim material or spend the extra for the sailcloth. is there much of a difference in how it will look, fade, or last longer?

I use a factory sailcloth version that came with my 2001 TJ, and its holding up very well. No leaks so far and somewhat quiet, only had my jeep for a little over a year now so this is my first season using it. Slight fade in color but what do you expect after 12 years of use

IF you need a pic, just let me know and I'll up/load it. PS not selling it and welcome to the forum!

I plan on picking up a sailcloth replacement for my 06. I still have the original top on mine from 06. Just deciding on whether to do it now or throw the hardtop on and do it next season

The Sailcloth fabric is MUCH nicer, heavier, & makes for a MUCH MUCH quieter interior than any of the other fabrics can provide. I've had one non-Sailcloth top & several Sailcloth tops on two different TJs & I'd never want that non-Sailcloth top again.

I just replaced my top with a soft top from Quadratech "Dennin Black" I own a 2004 TJ its my first jeep. The jeep came with its original top. It was really faded, windows yellow and scratched. It was definitely time for a new one and I am quite happy. I have not seen a sail up close.

If you are willing to spend the money I say go with it. I have a cheap top that came with mine from the PO and it's thin as wax paper. I cannot wait for it to fail and I can replace it.

I just picked up a Quadratech top in black denim and I'm content with it. I live in FL and hope to have the top off much more often than on, and I'm also trying to keep this Jeep on a budget since its my third vehicle and I think the value of the Quadratech is quite good in this situation. I have not seen a sailcloth top up close but there are a lot of people on here that preach about them so if you're looking for high end and ok with paying double for it then I'm sure its nice.

It is... talking from experience. Tho mine came with my jeep as well as a hard top so no complaints here...
