Soft Top Shopping

Found a really good deal on a brand new Rampage soft top to replace my hard top during the summer month (here in Washington we only see 3-4 weeks of nice weather so want to enjoy it as much as I can) but need to know if the model designed for half doors and with the soft uppers included will work with my full doors or not.

Here's the model I found, it's going on my 04' Rubicon TJ

That will work but that "re-engineered" soft top support mechanism from Rampage is like a Erector Set/kludge compared to the OE factory mechanism that came on new TJs and is now sold by Bestop with their Supertop NX kit that includes the much heavier Sailcloth top which gives a MUCH MUCH (!) quieter interior. Bestop's Supertop NX kit includes everything needed to mount & use it, which definitely works with your full doors too. I'm now running the Supertop NX kit & it's a great kit with the Sailcloth fabric that came on new TJs. Not to mention it includes the ability to flip the front of the top up for a mini-sunroof option. This one... It's not cheap at $709 but it's a complete top and the added quality and quietness of the interior you'll get with the Sailcloth fabric makes it worth it in my opinion.

Edit: I looked for a cheaper price using Google's shopping site & I found it elsewhere for $683.

When you have a choice, buy American.

I'm running the bestop sail cloth top with tinted windows.

I'm not completely sold on the quality though as my first one started to come apart at the seam in the middle of the top, and the second one, the one i have now, the stitching around the rear window is coming out..

But it is a relatively quiet top, and is easy to take town/ put up.

I would have rather gone Bestop but at 365 bucks with 2 day shipping for the Rampage I can't justify the extra expense since it'll only be used such a short time of the year.
