soft top to hard top

kind of eyeballing a hart top that is locally for sale and was wondering how hard is it to switch my soft top to a hard.
more worried about how the front attches ?
the soft top just latches to the windshield frame does the hard top attach the same

the hardtop attaches in the same way on the windshield.

on my 06 TJ (no unlimited) i only have to do 3 things before i can put on the HT:
- uninstall the softtop and the softtop hardware from the roll bar (2 small torx bolts on each side)
- uninstall the door surrounds (you don´t need a tool for that)
- uninstall the 2 small brackets in the rear beside the tailgate where the bar at the lower side of the rear window is attached.

now i´m ready to put on the hardtop. that all doesn´t need more than 10-15 minutes after you did it a few times.

Yeah it really isnt that hard of a process. Through owning several jeeps I have both a hard and soft top. When it gets to about October Ill switch over to the hard top. Easy enough that I can do it one morning before I go in to work if needed... I like to plan ahead a little more than that but ya never know... 10 Minutes Max (assuming you can manuver the awkward hardtop decently
