soft tops from 2002 to fit an 03

Will a soft top from an 02TJ fit on an 03TJ? I've found one for $175 used and I'd like it to fit my 03 TJ.

No, 03 and new use a different header. They will not work on 97-02 models.

i agree.

my `06 softtop looks a bit different than my old `99 softtop.
could it be that they moved the zipper sliders from the middle part to the softtop windows...?

The header where it attaches to the windshield is the major difference of why those tops won't work with each other. In 03 they made some change because of increased federal regulations.

Edit: What differences to you see in the descriptions of these tops? http://www.4wd.com/Bestop-Sailcloth/SID243.aspx

That's what I have always thought, but a guy I work with bought a soft top off of a 2000 wrangler and put it on his 04 rubi before he traded it off for his new 07 JK rubi. I told him I didnt think they would work but he said he had to strecth the crap out of it to get it to fasten on but it went on and didnt leak??
