Softtop recommendations!

I plan on buying a new soft top in Spring and looking at the Rampage frameless Sail clothe and suggestions? Thanks!

I don't own one so I can't give input beyond the fact that in my research that top is the one that has my attention for a soft top.

Same Here... I've always bought the bestop sail cloth tops with the tinted window kit... But just this last month I've been doing some research to switch to the rampage frameless. Love the looks of it, and the reviews are pretty much the best out there right now.

Don't know about the rampage but I love my Softopper. Definitely sold me on the frameless tops.

The Rampage frameless would be my next ST once my smittybilt zippers wear out. I like the rampage's ability to be converted into a safari top along with larger viewing windows.

well got it put on, mostly. it was cold outside so I took it to work, parked it in the building over 70 degrees for a half hour with each piece out of the box and separated so they'd all warm up. then I heated the room up to 85 and started to work. the rampage aftermarket header windshield channel sucks, don't buy it. then i found one zipper broken on the rear window, and another broke while trying to install. ill be sending it back.

I have a Bestop Supertop that I'm very happy with. I'll be going into my third summer with it this year. You can buy them with either tinted or regular windows. Never had a problem with the windshield channel, knock on wood.

Like tallz mentioned, make sure it's at least 70° when you put the top on or you're going to have big problems trying to stretch the fabric into place. Even better, lay out the fabric components in the sun for a while. Warm fabric means easier stretching.

mine was warmer than 70. the zippers were just cheaply made.

Sorry you got it and it was junk. I hate that.

Hopefully the softopper isn't junk too. There's a "never used" factory softop for $500 on the local CL, dunno if you've checked where you're at or not. Might be worth a shot. If you get the softopper I for one would like to know about its quality.

I didn't previously know the rampage was made in China, and that the softopper is one of, if not the only, aftermarket top made in the USA.

Ive got the soft topper. Overall I love the top. The directions SUCK, but its not to hard to figure out. Their directions are setup for their door surrounds, not factory surrounds. They dont show how to loop the webbing through the buckles and it took me a bit to figure out the proper way, but after that all was good. There is a "shelf" for lack of a better term that you are supposed to install above the driver/passenger seats that you "store" the windows in when not being used. This comes with 4 sections of webbing with fastex buckles on. I think its supposed to come with 2 short and 2 long. Mine came with all long so the "shelf" sags and is completely unusable. I emailed and called the company numerous times with ZERO response.

So my advice for the soft topper top is to throw the directions away since its pretty obvious how to put the dang thing on. And be ready to not be able to use the "shelf" to hold the windows. Also make sure you use the seam sealer than they give you, especially on the seam that is in the very center of the top of the top(you will know what I am talking about when you see it).
