Sold the jeep :( manual or auto?

Didn't think it would be this hard to let her go, but today the jeep sold. Now looking for a newer one. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both auto and manual. Looking to buy a 03 or newer. Any one have any good sites other than craigslist,ebay, or carsoup for this?

Craigslist is my favorite to look for anything for sale. That's how I found my Jeep recently. It just happened that mine had an automatic and I'm glad it did. I would not want to be pushing a clutch and shifting gears in city traffic. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

03 and newer autos have overdrive which really helps out highway mileage. Its just a matter of preference on newer models. Both trannys do their job.

this is a debate that continues to rage on. it is a matter of preference, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. i prefer automatic, but am starting to like the manual that is in my trail rig.

now let the debate begin
