Soon to be owner

Hey guys, i'm pretty new to the jeep scene but I'm looking to buy a 06 wranglerX, 5 speed, 4.0 with 34K miles on it. I just sold my F-150 because it got old to me and I want something to play around with. I drive around 80 miles a day, 30 of that is interstate. This is my question...How do these things hold up and when i do some mods like a lift and etc, is it still going to be a decent daily driver for that many miles a day? just need some imput before I go through with it. Thanks alot guys.

The Jeep Wrangler with the 4.0 is a rock. They hold up very well. Most will last well over 200,000 miles when maintained regularily. Gas milage should be between 13 and 17 mpg. If its your daily driver i wouldn't go to wild on lift and tires before it would have an effect on your gas milage. Maybe like a 2inch lift and some nice 31s or 32 inch tires.
Keep us posted and if you buy it Post up some pics. WE LIKE PICS.

Thats what I wanted to hear. Thanks man! I was thinking a 2" lift with 31's would look pretty good along with some other mods. I didn't expect it to ride as nice as they do, not bad. What lift is out there that you don't lose the factory ride or maybe improve it. I'm not going to do a budget lift. Also what mods for more power? Thanks again.

A budget boost gives you lift while maintaining factory ride. Theres nothing wrong with a budget boost. Old Man Emu makes lifts that improve the factory ride. Theres not much you can do to gain power, but you could regear if you get a lift to make sure you have the right rpms at the right speed.
