Sound Bar vs. Sound Wedges?

I'm looking at getting a sound bar, but then I came across these sound wedges (at a much better price I might add). What's the deal with these? Which one is a better bang for my buck? Which one has the better sound quality...etc?

Just as an example:
Wedges -
VDP Jeep Sound Wedges - 53501 | eBay
Sound bars -
Wrangler VDP Jeep Sound Bars - 792240 | eBay

I noticed the wedges do not come with the speakers, so by the time you add that into the price its about the same. I have a sound bar with 5-1/4 kickers in it and 6x4s up front in dash, it sounds good, but without my 12"mtx sub firing the bass, its average at best.

I'd go with wedges if you are ever going to go with a full cage in the jeep.

Yep, the wedges are easier to build a cage (especially a cool one) around.

If a guy was to do that, why not just bend your own speaker pods into the cage.

I was considering using two sound bars, not much room for anything else. Suggestions? still need room to carry my gear.

I would go with the wedges. They would be less in the way for things like bikini top straps, CRES cargo net systems etc.

They are almost like the factory pods in my '06. They work well if you stuff poly fill in them before putting the speakers in.
