Sound system

I am looking to change my sound system in my jeep. When I bought it, it came with a sound bar, amp, and 10" sub in the back. I am thinking about buying a factory console w/sub, new speakers in the sound bar, new dash speakers, and was considering the small speakers, they may be tweeters, that I have seen that mount in the corner of the windshield/dash.

Give me any suggestions you have. Thanks.

I would buy a set of component speakers for.the dash they come with mid woofer and tweeters as well as a crossover to send the lows to the midwoofer and highs to the tweeters you would have to find somewhere to mount the crossover though. With a little bit of.cuttimg you should be able at least a.6x8 in the sound bar. My recomendation would be alpine type s speakers all the way around unless your gonna put an amp to the speakers. If u put an amp to the speakers i woild get the alpine type r

Sounds like what you have already is better... The console sub is not that great... changing the other stock speakers sounds like a good idea. Order a crutchfield magazine for free online or go on their website, they will list all the speakers that will fit into your Jeep. From what I remember you get the connectors to hook the speakers up without having to cut the wires (not sure if they still do that though)

oh and as far as the sub in the consol i have not heard good things. I am planning on modding my consol to fitting a shallow mount 8 or 10. I saw someone in another thread about a week ago who put a jl in a customade center consol and it looked good. Do a search and check that out

I can speak from experience - the factory console sub is NOT good. Chances are you'll replace it VERY shortly after you buy it. I replaced mine with a decent after market speaker, and it's still not anywhere close to "great" by audiophile standards.

Nice name, by the way.

Remember that at one time or another your jeep will get a little rain from leaving the top down etc.. Read up on Polk. 6-1/2" for the sound bar and 5-1/4" for the dash, have em in mine and they sound great.
