soundbar location?

Is my sound bar supposed to be here or behind the center cross bar? Just looking for everyones opinion. Where does it come from the factory. I think it's alot louder and I can hear it better with the top off being directly over my head.... Thanks...

It's supposed to be behind the bar. Some people flip it around like that, but usually the flat side goes against the bar. If you like it like that , keep it. If you take the top off, it will keep the sun off of you when it's directly overhead.

I flipped mine over the roll bar as well. It is alot louder, and When I put my half top on I can still hear my tunes. Factory position is behind the roll bar though. I extended my harness so the flat side was against the bar though, which I think looks better.

Yeah I was thinking it should be flipped also! Lmbo... I guess when I take my hard top off for the summer, I will flip it then. It can't be flipped with the hard top on can it? Is there a way to make the dome light come on in the sounbar. When I open the door. I have always used the dimmer knob to cut it on when I need it

Lol, my wife got me a mirror with map lights built in because my dome light wouldn't come on. While I was wiring the mirror, I found that the fuse for the door was gone. Now I have a dome light and map lights!

It's a tight squeeze to get your hands back there behind the glove box. I could of unscrewed it but I used some long needle nose after a scraped the heck outta my hand.... Roflmbo :-))))

That looks almost exactly like my soundbar. It looks like you have a TJ but hard to tell. If you have a TJ then you can put it behind the main rollbar hoop. You could not if it is a YJ because of the way the rear bars tie into the main rollbar hoop, the TJ's rear bar mountings are further apart than the YJ's.

Mine is spun around so the flat area on the back of the soundbar is against the main hoop.

Yeah mine is a 97 tj. I'm probably gonna spin it around once I take my hard top off for the summer...

Slide the door limit strap out of the right side of the door and the whole glove box drops down and off, out of the way.

pods are out of Jeep because of half top-they mount using "captured nuts" (no laughing) on the back out side roll bars-have looked at it/them don't see any easy way to move inside may just switch to sound bar?

Lol.. I never even looked to see. I just saw the fuses there and shoved my hand in there.... Jeeps are probably the most simple vehicles to work on. Everything has a little simple trick to make everything so much easier....
