Soundbar reversed?

Can you switch a stock TJ Sport sound bar around so it is in front of the roll bar that is behind the front seats? I have a windjammer that is between me and the speakers and I'm just looking for a better option. Thanks!

You could just move it straight forward. You'd have to drill out the bars to attach it but that's pretty easy. If you flip it so it sits flush you'll have to extend the wiring harness for the speakers and light. That wouldn't be too hard either just need some wire and some butt connectors. Let us know how it works out!

Do you still have the stock sound pods?

I don't mind drilling a hole or two as long as it doesn't compromise the integrity of the bar. I haven't really looked at how the wiring is run yet - just spitballing really. Thought it might be a useful project to occupy an afternoon. I'm also planning on a speaker upgrade soon. Probably going to go with the Polk marine series all around.

Won't it be directly over your head then? I'd think that would be a bad spot both sound-wise and for hitting it with your head

That's an interesting thought. I may have to make a mock-up out of cardboard and see how it sits.
