Soundbar Wiring

I have a 98 SE and it does not have the factory soundbar. Is it already wired for a soundbar or will I have to run the wiring to the headunit if I purchase one?

Check both sides of the tj nearest the center bar and see if there is a wire or plug for a speaker assemb. anywhere.

my '99 TJ had no soundbar. after i bought one at ebay i had to mekethe complete wiring by myself. but perhaps yours is different.
US and european models have some differences. p.e. US models with no fog lights already have the fog light swiring - european models don´t.
open the zippers at the rollbar and you´ll see if there are cables.

just FYI, the factory wiring goes down the driver's side of the rollbar. it wouldn't be hard at all to do your own wiring if it comes to it.

I have a 97 SE and it didn't have wiring.

I took that as a GOOD thing, as I was able to use GOOD wire when hooking in my 6x9 Kickers in the soundbar

it really isn't very hard to wire in 4 wires (2+ and 2-) down the sport cage (depending on where you have padding or not), to the amp or head unit. I have amps in the back, so getting them to wire in was a piece of cake.

the cable came out unter the fender.

but don´t worry about the wiring. i made it for two pairs of highbeams and a pair of fogs in janary and it took only about two hours (incl. relays and switches).
