Spare key hiding spot

So I put my hard top on for the winter and about a week later what do you know I locked my keys inside my jeep -_- Do any of you guys got a good spot to hide a spare key? I couldn't find anything on the forums about this and thought it might help out others as well.

just take a zip tie and zip tie one underneath somewhere. Make it so it is not obvious but where you can get to it.

I bought a cheap small magnetic key box from Walmart and it can be put many places. Inside the rear or front bumper if stock, on the skid, frame, under the hood, etc. I think the box was ~$5, had it for over 2 years and magnets are still strong.

I have one in the Walmart special magnetic key box I discovered it attached to the inside of my rear bumper about 18 months after I bought it. I discovered when I removed the milk jugs. I have since moved it to a different spot

If your Jeep has a chipped key buy a non-programmed key and hide it in one of the magnetic boxes just about anywhere you want. The key will only be good for opening your doors.

If you don't have hood locks, hide one in the air cleaner box

What idea if you have a chipped key, alarm, hood locks and say lose your keys in the water and need to drive home? Hide a regular key in a magnet box underneath then unlock the jeep, alarm goes off, grab the keys for the hood lock that are locked up in the jeep, unlock the hood to get the chipped key in the air filter or fuse box?

Sounds like im screwed

You're right...someone can just bring a flatbed trailer and take it.

In the right rear corner of your Jeep, aft of the wheel well is a triangular shaped plastic panel. Remove it. This accesses the void below and behind your tail light. Store your spare in there, then replace the plastic cover.

Thanks for all the great recommendations guys, I originally duct taped it behind my rear license plate in a gap I found. I'm about to invest in one of those magnetic boxes seems like they do a good job

Keep in mind if you do buy one to check and make sure it's still there frequently! It would suck to lock your keys in there and discover the magnet fell off after an off roading trip.

I just slip a spare in my tire cover . That keeps it tight against my tire. It's concealed and no one looks there.

I paddleboard daily, Im saying if I lost them in the water or misplaced them. Im notorious for misplacing things, have misplaced my wallet 3 times in last 2yrs and had to cancel everything.
