Spare parts

Hi,

I'm a new owner of a 2000 4.0 TJ. I'm from Romania (that's in Europe) and, as the Wranglers are not so widely spread here, so is the people than know things about Wranglers (and how to repair them).
I will start with one question (I checked a little bit the forum and I hope I will not repeat other threads): does anybody knows anything about Crown replacement parts. Are they of any good (there are voices here, in my country, thay say they are not excellent). What about Duratrail? There is an importer in Romania that brings Crown, Duratrail and other brands, and there is, also, a German dealer that sells these brand (I presume that the Romanian dealer imports from the German one - the prices are slightly higher and they look very simillar as order of magnitude) - and for me is easier to import from Germany than from US.
I know that one of the best suppliers for Jeep parts is Quadratec, but the shipping is killing me. Besides that, I have to pay custom taxes (10% of the value of the parts plus shipping) and VAT (19% of the value including the custom). So, overall, they reach here at huge prices.

If anyone could help me with these informatons, I will be very happy.

Thanks

Thanks for the answer. Duratrail is one of the brands distributed by one of the largest German on-line store for Jeep parts (I will not quote names - I don't know if it is ok or not to do so). I don't know what kind of parts are they making (Duratrail), except for some lockers (expensive ones!) and some mufflers.

they have a complete .pdf catalogue that can be downloaded and there you can find DuraTrail products (they are making soft-tops for Suzuki, also). I just found out that it apears to be a brand of Ethe above-mentioned German dealer: http://www.suzuki-tuning.com/duratrail/page2EU.html

It seems that I will try the Crown parts (they are affordable and as you say that they are not bad, seems a good choice). As for the 2.5 I had for almost 5 years an YJ with the 2.5 engine and I was not dissapointed (in reasonable limits, of course - I must adit taht the 4.0 is something else, but the taxes are different, also - for a 2.5 I had to pay ~ 100$ per year, and for the 4.0 I have to pay ~ 700$ per year).
