Spare tire

I have a question regarding my spare. It is P225R15/75, stock tire. I have 33's on right now and basically I was wondering if I got a flat, should I attempt to put it on or should I just get it towed? I dont wanna put a 33 on my stock tire carrier and I cant afford a heavy duty one yet. How much would the stock tire mess everything up with 3 other 33 inch tires? Thanks!

I think you could drive it a short distance at a resonable speed. No worse than a donut for a regular grocery gitter.

The stock carrier will hold a 33 just fine. Just check out some used tire shops, you can probably find one worthy of a spare for 10 to 15 bucks unless you want to buy a new one. Ditto what amerijeep said.

As long as you aren't locked you can get away with it. Don't go to far and DO NOT put it in 4WD. I have a 32 on my stock carrier and I had no problems. Just had to make a spacer for the 3rd light and removed the bump stops.

Later,
Brandon

Very short distance yes...

but not the same as a "donut".. unless you have a "donut" tire in a 33" OD...

the mickey spares that come in cars are skinny but the Outside Dimension is the same as the other tires on the vehicle..

by running a 33" OD tire on one side of the axle and a 29" OD tire on the other side of the same axle, the spider gears will eventually detonate as the smaller tire will rotate faster than the larger one. even on an open differential.

on a locked or limited slip differential it will be even worse, and IMHO I wouldnt recommend it.

so... Very short distances only

Yeah, there's a difference in a "Full Size Spare" and a "Full Height Spare". You should be ok as long as it's not very far and you stay in 2wd.
