Cool speed

i own a '98 sport and on the highway i had no problem hitting 90,
looking at the '05 x w/6speed is that still possible?

Yes, you will be able to hit 90, but I believe that Jeep has limited the speed to 90 do to rollover concerns, starting in '03.

I've done 100 once in my 99 with 35's on it. And that was because we were testing the new tranny and I forgot about the 15% difference on the speedo. Looked down realized I was doing over a hundred and was like "No wonder the lines are coming by really fast with out the doors on" Never did that again.

I took my 01 w/4 in. lift and 33's on a business trip to indiana and I was doing 85-90 the whole way except in construction areas on I-70. It didn't feel any differnet than when I go 55 around town here

I am happy if i can get mine up to 45mph. Did do 85 once in the truck pulling the jeep on the trailer, does that count?

Do it in an open topped, no doored CJ5 with a fiberglass frontend and lap belts. 80 feels like you're running Daytona and at 90 it like you're getting ready to leave the runway. I've been to 95 with my 04 and it just feels way too fast.

70 mph is the fastest I've hit and that was nerverackling,
by the way I was in the right lane which was the
slowest believe it or not.

Come to think of it when I was doing 70 mph
in the right lane,a Black Unlimited TJ was in the middle lane...flew past me
like I was standing still. They had to be pushing close to 90mph.

All I could think of was..."Well there goes The Grim Reaper"
