speedi sleeve axle repair?

so i pulled out my front axle shafts and one of them has a deep groove where the seal rides. was wondering if anyone has ever used a speedi sleeve to fix this or what else can i do to repair this...i really dont want to buy a new shaft...thanks....

Are you talking about the "seal" at the outer end of the axle tube nearest the u-joint? If so, that's not a seal, it is just there to keep big junk out of the axle tube.

no the inner oil seal,where it seals in the oil...the seal grooved the shaft and i dont think a new seal will hold up with out fixing the shaft...

im not sure what happend but it grooved the hell out of it, you can see in pic the spot in talking about...its a chromoly shaft...
