Spiderweb shade

In conjunction with my Softopper post, questions for anyone running the Spiderweb shade ... how much protection against rain does it provide? Does water go through it? How much noise at speed?

Thanks.

love mine, no noise - don't really drive my jeep in the rain anymore, can't help you on that part of your question. I will say - I love mine spider shade and believe it to be a very good product

I have one but yet to have installed it since Christmas. I hope to this weekend.

That said, it is a mesh top so I do not expect to stay dry when it rains. Because of this I bought a used SoftTop for the summer for rainy days.

Have had it for around a year now, it's nice. I recommend it. No rain protection, little to no noise.

Same as the others, love mine...very little protection from rain, but if it's just a very little short sprinkle it will keep it off...kinda.

Love mine. A little flapping but really no noise. When the sun is high it is GREAT to keep you cool. Rain.....you are going to get wet!!!

Most of the water goes through it, but some beads up on/in it and if you hit it or a bump you get a shower.

I had one on my JK minivan and I have one on my Jeep TJ Rubicon. I like them very much. They are not rain protection---not at all. They flap a little at highway speed, never had any other sort of bikini top so I cannot compare. They make nice shade, easy to install and you can leave it on under either the soft or hard tops all the time.

I've got the longer version that covers the back seat. It's very flexible and I think you could fold it down or even roll it up if you just wanted to cover the front seats.
Maybe buy two of the short versions instead?? The way the flexible cords mount it to the sportbar make it very flexible to install.

It's like a screen door above your head.

What's jacked is if you throw your top up when it rains but leave your windows down for airflow, the water will slowly accumulate above it for the drive the next morning.
