I have a SpiderWeb Shade top and love it. What I also have is a "top prop" that mounts to the rollbars and arches above my front seats. It stretches the soft top tight and encourages the water to roll off rather than pool on top. If you get one of those and then stretch the SpiderWeb shade over it, you should have plenty of headroom. That takes care of the issue for you as a driver. But since we're on the topic of SpiderWeb Shades and headroom, I should probably point out that I have the safari top version and headroom can be a problem for a tall person in the rear seat.
