I can't get the mud stains off my top. Has anyone sprayed their top with Duplicator Vinyl/Fabric Paint? This stuff made my rollbar pads look brand new.
Still got to get the mud off before you spray it. Go to your Auto Parts store and ask them. They recommended Mother's for my hood louver, worked great!
I would imagine as long as all the mud is off and it is just stains that you would be fine painting it. I can't say for sure though since I've never tried painting my top.
I've turned my dirty spice color safari top to black using that fabric paint along with an occasional touchup to my slider windows fabric. Both cases worked great with no issues. It shouldn't be an issue and should work fine on the soft top.
i had mold all over my soft top when i first got the jeep. when my mom saw it the first time she told me she used to use tire shine on her soft tops. i did that and it took the mold off and left the top looking good.
I'm guessing that you are planning to spray the complete top/windows and not just the stained areas in order to have a consistant looking finish on your fabric...including having to mask off the plastic windows. That really seems like a time consuming job to get it right. Good luck!!!
I've asked it before on similar threads but how do you deal with the velcro? It is not going to hold the paint/dye as soon as you take the windows out.
