Spring Height

Ok, background, I bought the OME lift and it should give me at least 2.5 of lift. Combine this with my body lift (plus a little bump stop) and I should be able to run 33s. However over the weekend I got on the RTI ramp and bottomed it out on 30s. I don't have any extra bump stop in so that's to be expected I suppose, however when looking at the coils, I just didn't see where I could fit 2 inches of bump stop in without giving up all my up travel. I put a tape measure to it this morning, and it looks like my spring height is only 13 inches (give or take a bit, couldn't get the light right).

From my reading, stock height is 12 inches, so I only got 1 inch of lift out of these springs. The lift functions great and the ride is awesome, I'm just pissed I sunk a ton of money into this and didn't get the lift I was supposed to. Can someone confirm stock height, and what I should be seeing for 2.5 inches of lift? I do have an after market front bumper, so some sag would be expected, but I should still have at least 2 inches. Coil rate is 2932, the light load.

Factory coils at ride height are ~12" front, 8" rear.

Do you have a winch or aftermarket bumper? OME932 is one of the shortest and lightest coils you could have chosen. There is no way they would ever provide 2.5" of lift even on a stock TJ.

Lift height on a given coil is determined by your Jeep's weight against the coil's rate and length. OME coils are linear, so the math is pretty easy. Your 932s at 13" of ride height have about 750lbs of sprung weight on each spring.

933 will give ~1.5" lift
931 will give ~2.15" lift
934 will give ~2.875" lift
