Sputter, CEL, NOW JEEP WONT START!!!

98 Wrangler 2.5L..............about 136,000 miles.......rebuilt 1500 miles ago

Yesterday I drove about half a mile and then the engine started to sputter. Then the CEL came on so I made a U-turn and parked it in my driveway and shut it off. Now it wont start. It cranks but theres no spark to the plugs. I tested the ignition coil and it is giving power. I checked all the fuses and relays. The distributor cap and rotor and wires only have 1500 miles on them. Any ideas? Could it be a bad camshaft position sensor?

The turn key code checking method wont work on my jeep. I ordered a OBD2 reader and it should be here by monday.

Its fixed now. It was the camshaft position sensor(distributor pick-up coil). $55 at AutoZone.

Just a heads up for anyone with a 98' 2.5L: I think jeep changed some parts halfway through 98'. The part AutoZone had for 98' had the wrong connector on it. The one for the 99' was the right size.
